Museum collection of teaching equipment

Grammar School in Požega owns a rich, old, valuable, rare and well preserved collection of teaching equipment.

The value and number of teaching equpment was the reason for foundation of a separate museum collection.

Considerable purchase started in 1850 when the subject which included lecturing on nature and called “naravnoslovne znanosti” was introduced. Physics was introduced and taught as a new subject from 1872.

Several catalogues of teaching equipment published in the same period by Max Kohl, Chemnitz & S, Marx es Merci and Leybold are still preserved.
